The Society of Graduates in Health Policy, Management and Evaluation is an association of alumni, students and faculty committed to networking, leadership in the health care field, life-long learning, and the provision of quality academic programs.
Our vision is to inform, influence, and inspire change in healthcare.
Our mission is to promote knowledge exchange, life long learning and meaningful connections between Alumni, Faculty and Students of IHPME.
The Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto benefits from a strong alumni society with over 1,700 members. The executive of the Society is made up of leaders and policy makers from a variety of organizations and provide leadership to the group. The Society supports the alumni and current student body in a variety of ways, especially by convening its annual Education Day, supporting the annual Student Research Day, co-hosting the joint CCHL-IHPME annual event and convocation brunch for students, and by holding its Annual Recognition and Awards Dinner in the fall of each year.
The Society's role is to:
- Encourage a high standard of health policy, administration and research;
- Further professional development of its members;
- Facilitate communication between alumni and students;
- Foster networks and linkages between members through correspondence, publishing a newsletter and regional meetings;
- Encourage members to participate in professional organizations; and
- Support the University of Toronto.
