Knowledge Exchange/Events
We've become an Institute!Same outstanding graduate degree programs. Same innovative research. |
Bridging the gap between research and practice is crucial to improving health care. In the field of health services research, it is incumbent upon researchers to translate their research findings into information and tools that can be applied in everyday practice by health practitioners, administrators, planners and policy-makers.
To facilitate dialogue and knowledge exchange, IHPME hosts a variety of activities and events during the year. IHPME welcomes UofT faculty, students, health professionals, policy-makers and all who are interested to attend.
- Health Services Research Seminars – Each year, this seminar series focuses on a different theme of relevance to the health service research community. The series features presentations by leading health services researchers on their research. The seminars are generally held bi-weekly throughout the academic year.
- Health Policy and Law Seminar Series – Co-sponsored by the Health Policy and Law Group at UofT’s Faculty of Law, this seminar series features international guest speakers with expertise in the intersection of healthcare and law. The seminars are generally held bi-weekly throughout the academic year.
- Research Day – IHPME's annual Research Day showcases student research in poster presentations; features lectures by internationally recognized thinkers in health services research; and recognizes excellence in teaching and learning through the presentation of faculty and student awards. Research Day takes place each Spring.
